87 A4-GE Exhaust Manifold

Cracking must be a common problem with these because I found 2 more used ones, both cracked in the same place. Does this cause big problems with the emissions system etc? It looks like it's been cracked for years. Is a upgrade a good idea or will a new standard one out live the car? It's at 200k now. Also is the A4-GE a American standard or some kinda import?

4age is a toyota built motor, head designed by Yamaha. It found it's way into a very select few geo prizm's and chevy nova's under the contract between Toyota and GM on the Nova/Prizm's.....

it's common for all toyota cast manifolds to crack.

You will need a later manifold as the egr bung is different.

you can run with a crack, but you'll lose MPG and possibly some performance.
