cv axle???

i have a 1991 mr2 turbo.
it was n/a
has a jdm gen 3 3sgte in it.
but now the rear driver side axle is making a poping noise.
when i accelerate it stops but it i let off the gas or brake its really bad. like a grinding poping cracking sound.
i jacked up the car and spun the wheel and it coming from the axle by the tranny. anyone know what it could be and where can i get the part?

You can get an axle shop to rebuild your CV joints.

Or there are MR2 vendors that sells upgraded CV joints.

i have a bad rear motor mount, which caused the inner cv axle to hit the frame. jacked up the engine alittle truned the axle and it didnt make a sound. so im ordering ploy mounts. thx for the help tho
