Depends on what type of MR2. The first and third gens will probably get similar mileage, as will the NA gen2s. The turbos cars tend to get worse mileage.

Here's my mileage for my 91 Turbo (it should be getting significantly better mileage, probably around 25)

I've been getting 28mpg in my '91 turbo with a fresh set of NGK's. But I do have a newly rebuilt engine. And thats 80% hiway, cruising at 60mph (about 2800 rpms). I get significantly less when I am boosting..which I've been trying not to do.

I have been keeping records like yours Ghostly since my turbo swap over a year ago. except mine is mostly city. not so much stop and go, just around town to work, and to friends... then again phoenix is a freeway grid ^^

im still getting around 25mpg. slowly as i fix things i can see the affect it has, last fill was 26.48mpg and i need an alignment and im running rich. I don't see why you could not get 28-30+ driving conservatively and tuned. and the best part is.... when you want to... VROOOOOOMMMMM xD
im going to see about getting a screen shot in here of my excel spreadsheet

EDIT: whenever i screenshot excel its just a picture of my desktop... any ideas?

Alt+PrtScrn should take a screenshot of the active window and then you can paste it into Paint (assuming you're using Windows).

Not to go off topic too badly... but the reason I said alt+prtscrn is because it only takes a shot of the active window, not the entire desktop. Keeps image sizes down and limits it to the Excel window.

one of my excellent choices in women ^^ must have sat idling for like 35 minutes listening to the radio. she kept saying just another minute and she'd be ready.

back on topic, yes, its good to keep records, track your spending, how much you drive, type of driving. good for estimating future expenses based on fuel and whatnot. also helps you know where that money is disappearing to ^^
I have all my repair receipts and stuff as well in a folder. OCD much anyone? hehe
