specs?

How many types of 2nd gen MR2s are there? Coupe, gt, NA (what is that exactly?), and thats all I know. I am new. And is there a site for specs on the coupe? How big the engine is, hp, all of that?

In North America, there are 2 types.

Turbo and NA (Natural Aspirated)

Turbo:
2.0L, turbocharged CT26, 200hp and 200tq at flywheel

NA:
2.2L, 150hp?? something like that.

You can find the specs at mr2.com

Good luck

to have an mr4 would be pretty cool. but then the name is pretty gay. and that defeats the whole purpose of having mr2.

theres n/a t-top, turbo hardtop, turbo t-top
not sure for the n/a hardtop

if you can get your hand on a turbo hardtop, DO IT! they are teh rarest
they are lighter and stiffer than t-top models

There is a NA hard top. And yes there is a coupe..... Coupe doesnt mean its a four seater mr2.

coupe

n : a two-door car with front seats and a luggage compartment

All mr2s are coupes, just some are turbo and what not so they list them as mr2 turbos

my understanding of a coupe is a car with back seats at least...ie 2 + 2 Coupe.....i've never heard of an mr2 being referred to as a coupe....simply called a two seater....

Lightbulb Coupes etc.

Coupe refers to a two door configuration, and Sedan refers to four doors, so the MR2 would be classified as a coupe.

The roof configuration was available as full hard top, moon roof or the prevalent T-Top (all turbos have this?).

The 91/92 MR2 N/A have a 130Bhp @ 5400rpm & 140lb/ft @ 4400rpm at flywheel(don't bother revving as there isn't any more in stock arrangement). The 93-95 N/A cars have the power increase to 135Bhp. The Turbo (stock) were rated at 200hp @ 6000rpm & 200lb/ft @3200rpm for the 91-95 USDM production only.

T-tops is nice, but the reduced curb weight is nice also, and stiffer frame is nice too
