Smile mr2 questions

hey wuts up people i got my 91 mr2 turbo yesterday.. finally.. I need to give the car a tune up.. timing belt mostly and the sparkplugs and wires. possibly some new brake pads. i didnt get the owners manual with the car and the toyota is charging 370 for the labor to install a new timing belt in the car... (f*&k that SH*&..) im just gonna install it myself with my dad is mechanically wise, can anyone tell me some quick pointers to speed the process of changing the belt up b/c i heard it wus a 5 hour job (atleast thats what toyota told me) also i have to disconect the battery everytime i turn the car off because the brake lights stay on im figuring maybe a short or a blown bulb is causing this.. if anyone has had this problem please tell me a solution to this problem...

Hi,

Have you checked your brake light switch, it seem's like it's passing current through ie: shorted
