Unhappy somethings wrong!!

i was crusing around town in my 1989 mr2 gt at night having a few races and stuff and all the time it boosted 8 psi them on my way home it wouldnt boost above 5 psi!

is some thing wrong?
or is this normal?

reset your ECU, remove your positive terminal for at least 5 mins then hook back up see if it works.

What kind of fuel are you using?
Also, did you check your battery and alternator?

Do the idiot lights go on? (Check engine, radiator, brake etc)
Are there any other symptoms?

Also, check to see if you have any vacuum leaks.

You definately have an alternator/battery power related problem. First of all, how many volts is your battery meter showing? If you're getting around 12 - 14v, you're fine, but even though, check to see if your battery needs replacing.

Secondly, get your alternator checked out. It may be a problem where it doesn't hold the charge for your battery. Toyota designed the MR2 to flash all its lights when there's something battery/alternator related.

Go get that checked out first. I don't think its vacuum related at the moment from what you tell me.
