It would help to know which MR2 you have.
I am guessing you have the turbo MR2?

.. .if so, that is normal. The turbocharger is a low rpm, fast spolling unit and it runs out of flow after 5500 rpms.

The car was not designed to pull hard to redline.
Throw a bigger turbo in and you will bull all the way to redline but lose a little on the low end.

Hows that hybrid snail treatin' you in the high-rpms (5K+) Can you spank stock Gen 4 Supras with your set-up? (I'm gonna assume so, since ya said that your pushing around 300hp+ (to the wheels, once again, I'm ASSuming this.) )

Thanks,
Brandon Mendez

Very impressive, I'm sure I could look around and find this, but do you happen to know off the top of your head what the stock Turbo MR2 runs? ('91)

maybe my turbo is different but i recently turned up boost to 15 psi with use to a fuel cut defencer, but i pulls wuite well all the way to redline, i havent changed the turbo and it is a CT26, could it possibly be the larger CT26 that is normally sought after as a chep upgrade from stock for the 91-92
