kinda surprised no one has posted this here yet, so here it is. the north American 2009 MR2 meet will be in Denton, Texas. ATS is hosting it.

NA2009 September 24th - 27th - Denton, Texas

Thanks to ATS Racing and all of the board vendor sponsorship we gladly are holding the North American 2009 MR2/Alltrac meet on September 24th to the 27th in and around Denton, TX. We welcome any and all MR2's and Alltrac's that can make the trek. This is a meet that spans over the course of 3 days with different events happening on those days. There will be dyno sessions, drag racing, road course racing, night cruises, and a show n shine comp that everyone is welcome to partake in. To attend this meet will be a $20 fee per person for ALL attendants (Still working on the registration site for this).

The itinerary for this event is as following:

Thursday 24th:

Day at the lake
ATS has around 10 stand up jet skis for those that are will to try.

Friday 25th:

9:00a.m. till 4:00p.m. -- DYNO DAY with TUNING at ATS

You will need an appointment. This is more of a tweaking than a tuning session.
Expect a MAXIMUM of 1 hour per car so that we can help as many people as possible.
Cost - $50

**Aaron or I will be making up a schedule for this that will have the blocks available for purchase.
Once paid for, the name will be added to the schedule and posted here. With that in mind,
we will have an hour tune/tweak and then a 30 minute time between to unload that and and strap up the next one and hook it up, etc.
That leaves only around 6 maaaayybe 7 blocks (big maybe) available and once they are gone, they're gone.


6:00pm till late -- Drag Racing at Northstar Dragway

This is an 1/8th mile track only and there are no safety requirements other than seatbelts, a helmet, sleeved t-shirts and long pants.
Cost - $20.

Saturday 26th:

9:00am - 6:00pm -- track day @ Eagles Canyon and then Show 'n Shine/Awards Banquet to follow
Track day - $165 per person.
The $165 DOES include an instruction until you are declared "qualified" to lap Eagles Canyon solo.


Late Saturday -- Sonic/Frosty's drive in car show


Sunday 27th:

9a.m. till ?? -- Dyno Day/Open House at ATS Racing

As stated earlier, cost is $165 per driver and that includes intruction until you are declared "qualified" to lap solo at Eagles Canyon. Eagles Canyon Raceway (http://www.eaglescanyon.com/2008/home.php) is located in Decatur, TX which is 30 minutes west of ATS Racing's shop in Denton. To attend this meet will be a $20 fee (Still working on the registration site for this).

If you are in the Dallas area we recommend Pro Tuning Performance. They have tons of track day experience. Dedicated Motorsports in Ft. Worth is also qualified to do the inspection and so is ATS, however they are very busy at the moment and may not be able to get you you as fast as some of the previously mentioned shops..

The rate is $99 per night. That is for a room with either 2 queens or 1 king. They have a limited number of 2 queen rooms available so hurry up and book now.

To get the special rate call the hotel (940) 383 - 4100 and tell them you are with the ATS group for the weekend of September 25-26 (checking in on the 25 and out on the 27th). Longer stays are certainly welcome.

Highly recommended is this site. It's not exactly near the meet, but it's not far from there either: http://www.recreation.gov/camping/H...dex=CampingSpot

It's about 10 miles south of ATS Racing and 30 minutes from the track location., but it's on the shores of a lake and it's $16-$18 per night with electrical hook-ups.
