jap 3sge engine swap with uk 3sge engine

i have a jap import 1990 mr2 and my engine has gone can i put the uk engine in it without changing the ecu and ancillerys? is it the same engine and same fixings? any info on this would be greatly appreciated! thanks luke

are a jap 3sge engine and a uk 3sge engine the same fitting? my jap import gave up last week and im skint and can only afford a cheep engine and i bin offered a uk one for cheep but can i put that in without changing ecu and ancillires? its a 1990 2.0 dohc its the same engine i want to put in just one uk amnd one jap!!! lol sorry if it sounds dumb but im a carpenter and just because that has the word car in it i still dont no the first thing about them(only how to drive one) lol all help muchly appreciated thanks!!!!!!
