I know what a 3SGE engine is. What's up with the extra "E" at the end? I've been trying to look for clutch kits for a 3SGE with a S54 tranny and this 3SGEE comes up sometimes.

It's a mistake. Based on Toyota's engine codes, it doesn't make sense.

3S = 3rd generation of the S block
G = "performance head" (vs the "economy" F heads, ex: 5sfe)
E = fuel-injected

Having a second E doesn't mean anything. It's just doubling up the "fuel-injected" flag.

Regardless, Toyota does not list a 3SGEE engine...

Maybe European as most sites talking about it are from that region. Even though it's listed on rockauto.com too.
