high idle

hey, i drive a 91 non turbo mr2. its been idling really high, above 2000. it seems like its getting stuck. all i have to do is rev it above 5000 and it drops down to normal. anyone every have this prob or know what to do? thanks

I have the same problem with my 89 aw11 sc
idles high until I blip the throttle also.
I just did the engine swap on it also and the guys who did it can't figure out why...
