New powder coated brakes.

Just need to figure out how to upload photos.
This guy did a sweet job rebuilding and coating these.

You will need to host your pics somewhere. Many of us use Photobucket or Imageshack(free). After uploading pics to the host site, copy the URL and then on the ToyotaNation post, click on the photo icon, paste URL in the promt box .
There's also stickies all over this site explaining how to do this.Good luck.
Let me know if I can help further.

Thank you!
Just spent two hours trying to remove one frozen bolt from the turbo heat shield. It's still not coming!!!!!!!
Not sure I still have the belly for this kind of stuff any more. I'm going to pull the engine. It's ridiculous trying to reach these bolt any other way.
The under body is in super shape with the exception of the two power plant cross braces located down by the main frame.
I think I should up the budget more and pay someone to do this engine work. Years ago it wouldn't have bothered me to rebuild a standard trans. Now it really hurts mentally!

I hear ya. It's cramped in there. The MR2 turbo is notorious for broken, stripped bolts/studs on the exhaust side.
Patience is the word!

I'm ready to install my newly rebuilt and modified cylinderhead. I have a broken exhaust manifold stud that won't give either. And it's too dang cold here to stay outside for any length of time.

So I have these new powder coated calipers for my 91.
Years ago I found a company that made brackets that move the caliper out from their original position, 1" or so.
I was wondering if anyone here has ever come across this type of big brake kit. I know that the brakes from the 93+ will fit but, would like to consider more filling in my empty wheel centers. These are not going to be used for racing, more for looks. The big brake kits do not consider the emergency brake so these are not on my radar at all!
Thank you!

93+ brakes are the usual upgrades that most MR2 guy would do if they had any concerns about the braking. If e-brake is a concern to you when you get a big brake up grade, you might want to look at wolfkatz.com/'s big brake kit. It retains the e-brake.

That's good info. Didn't think any after market Bib Brake Kit retained the e-brakes.
Thank you
