Post need help

I have a 3sgte short block and my mr2 has a 5sfe throwing a rod and i was wondering if the 3sgte block will fit on the 5sfe head it is a 1992 mr2 i am not going for performance yet i just want to get it running for now and i have the 3sgte block just laying around

hey todd. nice plan youve got replacing your 5sfe block with a powerful 3sgte block anyway how much for the 5sfe block?

The 5SFE block is a 2.2 ... the 3SGTE is a 2.0.
You would be drastically reducing the displacement of your engine ... I do not recommend this.

Also the turbo piston may have lower compression.
You're modding for reduced power. Sell the 3S-GTE block and buy a 5S-FE block. The 5S block is cheap.
