Gen1 Dazed and Confused

Hey guys im new to the forum and i like what ive been reading! Ive always been a fan of the mr2, and have 2 aw11's. My biggest problem is that there seems to be to much info in the world and yet not enough. (Like what eng. gives you the best bang for buck, easiest install, etc.)
I want to do a build-up on one, but i need someone to set me straight.
Any help will be appriciated!

How much more difficult is the 3sgte swap vs. silver or blacktop 20v? And does the 4agze ecu have a speed limiter? If not, could I turbo the 4age thats in it and use the 4agze ecu? But then niether of the 4age & 4agze are obd2, so if I want to tune it i'll need a piggyback or stand alone correct? Is it worth the extra 500 to 1500 dollars for one?

Gen1 Turbo GE?

Like stated do some homework on the Archives section of the MR2 Clubs and don't relay on others, everything is out there for you to make an intelligent decision.

The GE is weak for 7K high revs and does not have forged internals.

GZE ECU's have rev limiters not speed limiters.

If you want obd2 programmability on early Toyota ECU's you pay for it. That simple.

Look dude, there is no cheap way, if you want to play (programmability) with the big dogs you pay what the big dogs pay.

Cheap alternatives and poor equipment choices don't last very long.

Don't waste your time going cheap, read up, be informed and YOU make the decision.

Yeah, there's lot of info out there. It's meant to educate.

Don't mean to be mean, just trying to save you a bucket of parts down the road.
