Like stated do some homework on the Archives section of the MR2 Clubs and don't relay on others, everything is out there for you to make an intelligent decision.
The GE is weak for 7K high revs and does not have forged internals.
GZE ECU's have rev limiters not speed limiters.
If you want obd2 programmability on early Toyota ECU's you pay for it. That simple.
Look dude, there is no cheap way, if you want to play (programmability) with the big dogs you pay what the big dogs pay.
Cheap alternatives and poor equipment choices don't last very long.
Don't waste your time going cheap, read up, be informed and YOU make the decision.
Yeah, there's lot of info out there. It's meant to educate.
Don't mean to be mean, just trying to save you a bucket of parts down the road.

But then niether of the 4age & 4agze are obd2, so if I want to tune it i'll need a piggyback or stand alone correct? Is it worth the extra 500 to 1500 dollars for one?
