I was wondering, how reliable is it to get a 2nd gen mr2 swap? I want the car to last me through college. I won't be doing much modification on it. I was think that i would buy the rear clip and get it professionally installed into a '91 mr2 N/A. How many miles have your swap lasted? Have you had any major problems with the new engine?

well, you'll be hard pressed to find a true JDM motor, especially a clip, that has more than 30,000k, or 50,000m because of the laws in japan, hence why we can get half a perfectly good car for 2-3 grand

hey its all up to you if you treat it good and maintain it properly and kiss it and caresse it.. lol . jk man but really just treat ur car like you treat your girl. then it will last you as long as you want

hey man,
you should know toyota motors were built to last. i think it'll get you through college if you are not a ten year plain ofcourse

but if you need help finding a JDM clip and you are willing to pay for the shipping i know a place in sacramento who has a shit load of MR2 clips. i just saw it yesterday. and they only run for 1500 to 2000. cheap as hell because MR2 are not that hot here.
