Hello! I Need Some Advice!!!

hey i need some advice on an mr2 i saw online, thats why i joined this forum. But anyways i was looking at a 1992 mr2 (non turbo chasis) with the turbo motor swapped in. here is the link so you can read it and get some better knowledge on it .... http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=0&n...iew&ad=2215745 ..... but i was planning on driving down and hookin up the turbo so the oil lines wouldnt spray oil everywhere so i could make sure the motor ran then drivin it back down... do yall think that this is a good buy or should i not bother... also is there any way to distinguish the non turbo chasis from the turbo chasis ? ? your advice is well needed thank yall sooo much!

Looks like there's 3, possibly 4 Turbos in the trunk.
Why?

Idunno... if when you hook everything back up it runs, it's a great deal. But I don't know if I'd buy something not running or even assembled.

BTW, I deleted your other post. We don't allow cross posting here.

MR2Jedi made a good observation. There's three or four turbos laying in the trunk and it's unclear what sort of condition they're in. If it's just a matter of hooking up some hoses, I'd expect the current owner would have done that already.

How mechanically inclined are you (or your close friends) and how far away is this car? I've seen guys swap out their entire turbo system in a Super 8 parking lot with a screwdriver and roll of duct tape.

My recommendation - if you're committed to this project - is to go down with the expectation that the car will need to towed back and you'll need to spend some time and effort troubleshooting it. If you are able to fix it in his garage and drive it home - it's WAY better than you expected.
