engine is bogging when cold

i have problem with my 86 mr2 mk1
everytime the car is cold, its is very hard to accelerate....the revs don't seem to want to go up...
take a while for it to get the carmoving...
about a couple of seconds before starting to accelerate...
about 5 minutes of driving...the car acts normal again
what can this be?
thanks in advance, i know someone here will know my problem

bec. when the car is cold you are in open loop and the pcm provides cold enrichment. once its warmed up the o2s becomes part of the loop(closed loop) and the feedback system is in order to adjust proper afr. anything other than wot anyway. but in reality you really shouldnt even feel the difference. maybe its running too rich.

Check your spark plugs and ignition system. I had that problem with my car for a while. Turned out to be a bad start.

ok
i've checked the MAF sensor...
the voltage goes from 0V (closed) to about 3V (half open)
and as i open it more...the voltage drops back to 0V....
this doesn't look normal to me...it should keep going to 5 V
this was checked when the engine was cold.....
maybe i should check it when the engine is warm....
there is a lot of silicon around the MAF sensor...so i think it was hacked in before i bought it...
hmmm..
