Unhappy Why oh why won't she start?

Hey guys. Need a little help here.

My 91 n/a sw20 is acting up.

Last night it started up like normal, no problems, and continued to run fine while I drove it for maybe 45 mins.

Then I stopped to get some groceries. I came out maybe 25 minutes later and went to start my car. It turned over (reluctantly), but did not start. I tried it again and this time it was turning over a little slower, but again did not start. Tried again and nothing. Just *click* click*.

I had my girlfriend come and jump start me, thinking my battery took a dump. It started right up. Drove it home fine.

Then i went out the next morning and it just clicked again and would not turn over. I checked out the battery with a volt meter and it reads at 12.88 when off. So it seems fine. I tried to jump start it again and it just made that same *click* sound as if the battery was dead.

Is it the starter? If so why did it start the first time I jump started it so easily and the second I tried to jump it, it didn't even turn?

Is there a fuse or something that has to do with the actual ignition?

Please please please help me out here. This is my baby and my daily. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the starter or the solenoid or both.
Check your battery while engine is running. It should read 14volts or higher

Hey thanks. Yeah, something is goin on with the wires going to my starter solenoid. I wiggled them around and she fired right up. I'm going to have to do some trouble shooting to figure out who's the culprit. Thank you though.
