with the proper supporting mods (ie upgraded IC) and conservative tuning....stock block should be good up to around 300rwhp....i'm in that range...motor is still stock and unopened...

Yes, there is at least one MR2 with over 500 rwhp on the stock engine (internals and all).

The real question now is: How long would an NON-BUILT engine survive under the stresses of 500hp?

the stock mr2 block untouched can handle upward of 400+whp, if tuned correctly with a aem ems, and other mods, with no mods done to cams or internals, as long as the engine is healthy.

i agree with MRQturbo i think the max i would go on stock internals is 300 horse, even if more were possible, reliability is sometimes better or just as important as numbers
