Unhappy Mold/Mildew in the cabin - SW20

Hi everyone

I own a '91 SW20 N/A.
Ive been away on business for the past month and got back today hoping to take the MR2 for a much needed run.
But when i opened the door i found that there must have been a leak at somepoint or something, and i have mold covering various parts of the interior- steering wheel (stock), driver seat, central console, seat belt.
Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the mold without damaging the parts?
I can remove the seats and was them easy enough, and it gives me an opportunity to replace the steering wheel, but the centre console? What should i do with that?
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks

Mold usually just cleans off with typical household cleaners.

You REAL problem is that it will come back unless you kill the mold. Call a carpet cleaner or disaster remediation company and see if they can spray some fungicide in your interior. In the meantime put it in the sun so it can dry out.

I would check to see if its still damp under the carpet. if it gets down into that sound deadaning/ cushy stuff it will stay moist forever. If it is still wet pull the seats and the corners of the carpet up so it can dry out. Adding a fan or two helps speed things up. I had to do this to mine not long after I got id due to a week of rain and a small sunroof leak that turned out not to be so small. Good luck

Lysol. Be careful on some of the plastics as it will discolor them. (ie window switch assemblies)
