If you had $9k to buy and modify an MR2...

Well... what would you do?

1. What year would it be?

2. What model?

3. What options would you want?

4. How much would you spend buying the car?

5. How many miles would you expect this car to have?

...THEN...

6. What modifications would you make to the car?

7. How much would you spend on making those modifications?

Just wanted to get an idea of what you guys think!

for 9 k...would be tough to find a 93 for under that....so look for decent mileage 91 turbo..they pretty much come loaded..leather.pw..pw..etc.....

if u find a 93...look for one with factory lsd....do u want a car that is close to stock or a modded one??....

my suggestion is after u buy the car...any left over money...should go directly into maintenance issues...get the car running in top shape before u start any modding....

well said, then you can buy the t-88 from hks, build the block, 200 shots and you should make another benchmark 3s-gte hp figure, perhaps the first in the 4 digits?

Re: If you had $9k to buy and modify an MR2...

1. What year would it be? 94+ (for the tails, but a 93 will do)

2. What model? Turbo

3. What options would you want? LSD, Leather Interior, Premium Sound package.

4. How much would you spend buying the car? I spent 4500 on my 93 Turbo

5. How many miles would you expect this car to have? Mine had 151k miles...

...THEN...

6. What modifications would you make to the car?
1st I'd take care of any scheduled maintenance, make sure the car is in tip top. Then i'd start with a few bolt ons, like a MBC, Exhaust, DP, Intake, Intercooler etc....

Eventually a better turbo. Like a T3/T4

7. How much would you spend on making those modifications? Whatever cash you have left...
