Idle issues and just a general question

My 1991 MR2 when it gets up to temp. it starts to idle a bit weird, jumping up to 2,000rpm and dropping back down to 1,000rpms and back up to 2...and so on and so forth. Before i replaced my spark plugs it did this as soon as I turned on the car, now it only does it when it gets up to temp. I am thinking it may be something with the hoses and the intake manifold but im not exactly sure on that or maybe my fuel injectors. Any Ideas?

Also, I know there is not any significant difference between a 1991 MR2 to the 1996 MR2 in terms of the body so is it possible to switch the tail and break lights from a 1996 and put them on a 1991?

As far as the idle is concerned it sounds like it could be the IAC(Idle Air Control Valve) they tend to get carbon build up on them and not function properly. All you need to do is remove and clean it out!

For the tail lights, yes they do change over with little work, you will need to make sure that you get the wire harness and I believe the lock cylinder and parts. I didn't do that conversion on my car so I'm not positive, but I know it's not hard.

You will also need the center piece that goes between the left and right lights.

Hey thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I have always liked the 96model lights, and that my tail lights are cracked so I do need to replace them anyways. I will take a look at the IAC as soon as possible.
