VSS/SPD Wire - 5V or 12V Pulses?

I am using a MR2 MK3 (2003?) P/S pump in my electric car (I am converting a 2001 RAV4 to an all-electric).

The wiring diagram for the P/S pump shows 3 connectors - the middle connector has an input SPD (middle connector P7, pin 2, violet/white) from the combination meter.

I understand this signal is similar to VSS (ie 4 pulses per revolution) and is used by the P/S ECU to slow down the P/S pump at high speeds (ie de-sensitize the steering).

Is this signal a 5V pulse or a 12V pulse?

I found a VSS signal on my RAV4 (also Violet/white) - I scoped it and it has 4 pulses per revolution, but is 5V.

Can anyone tell me if the Violet/white wire on their EHPS pump (8 pin middle connector) shows 5V or 12V pulses?

All help appreciated!

Bump - anyone know if the SPD signal into the power steering ECU is 5V or 12V pulses on a MKIII MR2?
