this is prolly one of the most expensive maintenance u'll have to do to the car.....shop around for the best estimate....but be warned...alot of shops that aren't familiar with working on mr2s....will prolly not even take the job...its not easy to do....

its quite expensive at a dealership also, the belt is only like 35 bucks but the labor will kill you

Darn right bud
I had to have my 89 supercharger rebuilt , the dealer in ottawa did it and charged me over $4000, and a three week wait, i'll never go to the dealer again. $180 for a mudflap LMAO $25 on ebay...EBAY ROCKS!!!!!! for good priced mr2 parts

my car has been at the local dealership for well over a month, right now my total parts bill is over 3500, but i had a new head, and new exhaust manifold installed, as well as new water pump and pretty much everything else rom the head up, the money doesn't bother me so much its not having the car that really hurts

oh I hear ya, i'd be goin squirlly without my ride for that long, I've just learned that the dealers in my area don't know rat $hit from rice crispies when it comes down to the finer points of a sc mr2.
and soon i'll be lossin mine for about a week or two to get her fully restore, I aquired ALL the parts first so it won't take too long, all the rebuild appointments have been pre arranged...engine, trani, diff and such, holy 9 hours at least just to do the bushing re&re.
but i'm told she'll handle better thana ferrari when shes all done, strap an acme rocket to my back and light that fuse. lol
One thing I like about the mr2 is its like a motorcycle but four wheels, with this car ...you don't get in it ....you put it on
