Toyota Mr2??

Hey all mr2 owners, i am here to ask ur opinions on these cars?
i am wanting to get an MR2 when i can afford it, but have a few questions!
how tuff are the motors in these cars? i am wnting the early 90's bodystyle, wat are the pros and cons to owning and driving one??
how much maintenance is required in the engines besides the things you'd do in every other car?

You're referencing the 2nd gen MR2's.
If you want a very "spirited" car, I highly recommend the Turbo model.
Turbo with 3sgte engine=200hp/200ft.lb, compared to the 135-140hp N/A's with the 5sfe.
There's big aftermarket support for the 3sgte engine , but not much for the 5sfe .
The 3sgte engine is very robust and can take a beating. It's got an iron block, an aluminum alloy head and a very strong crank.
Maintenance is like any other car, though the engine bay is a little more of a challenge to work in.

MR2's are just as reliable as camry's would be but they are way cooler, and people wont think you are retarded for thinking its a fast sports car.

Unless you buy one with a non-turbo engine and an automatic transmission...
