Want to Swap from a 5SFE to either a 3sgte or a 3SGE

Now this will not happen for quite some time however I do need some advice on how to prepare for the swap in terms of what I would need tool wise and any other information on how to make a swap as painless as possible. I do have an engine crane coming in to pull the engine out that I currently have because I am having a tremendous amount of trouble with it. It is in need of a rebuild of sorts more than likely and is leaking oil like crazy. I have resealed the top of the engine and the bottom of the oil pan and the engine is in dire need of a new timing belt as it has only been replaced once in its 200k lifespan. Not only that the crankshaft pulley itself is in need of replacing because it is partially broken.

There is MUCH MORE aftermarket support for the 3sgte than the 3vz. The 3sgte is a much better platform for building power. You can easily get 300hp with just bolt ons .
You will also have more room to work in the engine bay.
Although, 1 day, I hope to put a supercharged small block V8 in one.

My car engine swap plans are on hold because the MR2 is in need of that rebuild. I am a decent mechanic but to be honest the engine drop is a bit out of my league yet it is the only choice i have at the moment to fix the issues I have with my car thats why I have so many questions on here and alot of the walk throughs are for the 3SGTE which can be a bit confusing when I am working on the 5SFE.

I only have to unplug all the electric wiring and then drop the engine, just worried that since im doing it by myself that I may screw something up.

Mr2jedi your right there are very few upgrades when it comes to the 3vz but one thing is the 3vz is maybe the most bang you will get on a low budget swap that was my plan not to spend to much and still have an animal under my hood im a auto x / drift guy so this does fall right into my league torque with some decent power to the wheel but for massive power gains i do suggest 3sgte and if its going to be a dd for someone exceeding 300 + horses is useless you'll never have space to test the limit of speed with a "SPEED LIMIT " and if you do you will be all over the road with out spending more money on a good set of tires to keep you in a good position and not a wall on the freeway ..just in my opinion
