3SGTE questions

Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the 3SGTE Gen2 and Gen3, and is it true that the Gen3 ECU is programmed for 100 octane fuel only? Also what are some problems that I might come across when swaping the N/A with the 3SGTE.

gas in japan is better, hence the higher octane, but retarding your timing solves that. the difference between the two is the heads and turbos are different. gen 2 has the ct20b whereas the gen 3 has the ct26, and therefore about 20 more HP. i believe the fuel cut is different also.
