1987 Mr2 Radio Doesn't Work!! Help!

Hello guys, I bought a 1987 MR2 and there was no radio. So i got a plug and play radio from another toyota (the plugs are exactly the same) and when i pluged it in the radio does not turn on. I have checked the fuse in the back and it checks out good. i also put the fust tester into the plug and it checks out (it's the one circled) any one can help me out plz

Something may just be wrong with the radio you bought. Just put a new HU in it that has iPod control.

Suggest you look at the pins and the wire colors for clues.

Just cause a generic plug looks like another generic plug doesn't mean squat.

Can't judge a book by the cover they say.

Email me for a electrical drawing from the Electrical Service Manual maybe w can figure out your mystery?
