I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that "swirf" means "swerve"? As in, the car tends to not want to stay in a straight line at high speeds. It's a fairly common complaint, often attributed to road condition, bad tires, or worn suspension. If it's on good roads, it could be your tires or that you need to freshen up the shocks/springs/bushings. These cars are going on almost 20 years old, after all.

There are also "speed flaps" that were available on some models and are still available through a few companies. They go in front of the front wheels and help keep air pressure from building up in the fender wells, causing a light feeling in the front end.

The MR2's mid engine design handles differently than front engine cars. Especially compared to front engine/front wheel drive.
You have to "learn" how to drive them. You'll get used to it. Just take it easy until then.
