Hello to all the Forum members.
I have just joined this forum after picking up an MR2 GT today.
Very pleased with the drive, but not so happy when the driver of the car that took me to pick it up, and then followed me home told me I had no brake lights !
I assume that it must be either the pedal switch, or a fuse.
The problem I have is that I cannot locate the fuse box inside the car after seeing the other two did not contain light fuses, or, get at the pedal switch as I am disabled and have limited movement of neck etc.
So would be obliged if somebody could verify that these may be the culprit and give me some hints on putting the problem right.
Could somebody also point me in the right direction for a wiring diagram download for this model.
Which fuse boxes have you checked? Off the top of my head I can think of 3, there's the one in the frunk(spare tire and battery live here) one in the engine bay and the one by the driver side kick panel(with your disability you will need help with this one)
But congrats on the purchase and I'm sure you'll enjoy the car!

Thanks for the reply.
I did get a friend to crawl under the steering wheel to look at the fuse box, which had no cover, hence no fuse description.
Most annoying having to rely on somebody else, as I have worked on cars since the 1960s, until getting in my present disabled state.
However, that payed off as none of the 15 amp fuses were blown, and from his description of what was in the box, I told him to pull an odd 10amp, which indeed turned out to be the culprit. (Come on, we have all sustituted an odd fuse 'for testing'. Haven't we ).
Anyway, with confidence renewed, off for a tramp down the tarmac. Goes like a rocket, so well pleased.
Cleaned and polished all bodywork, under the bonnet, in the engine bay, cleaned interior.
Now I have to make a confession, the motor has a Ferrari body kit on it. Not sure if you frown on that, but, since the clean-up, it looks, and goes, as good as it gets !
There are one or two other small niggles, but more of that later.
I will be looking out for MR2 functions to go to as it is a dream to drive, and the Porsche can't have all the fun.

You may be upset to hear that the Ferrari your driving is based on a 20 yr old Toyota which is going to really challenge you on repairs and maintenance.
I was kinda/sorta questioning the GT which is probably a SC or Turbo on this side of the ocean huh?
You may want to know there that we (USA) have (mr2) Owners Clubs stateside that you can access the Service Manuals thru some Internet strokes. And my English? friend your no doubt going need to lay eyes on.
Having a physical "challenge" you have guts buying into this old of a car, here's to your success.
