i dont know of any stock TT running 12s.....
from a car that makes 300hp stock and outweights me by a ton...while i'm making 300rwhp...u do the math....and yes...i must be smoking crack.....stock for stock..yes an mkiv will win...but a modded mr2 will hold its own....we're comparing apples to oranges here...two different classes of cars....a 3L inline six vs a 2L 4 banger.....

aite, i lied...stock vs stock, obviously with a bigger engine (=more torque n power) the supra wins. but i say with the gen 3 motors from japan, the mr2 should run head-to-head with the mk4's.

They're both amazing machines in their own respects. Both have very potent powerplants.
If you wanna know which is faster stock, pickup an old copy of C&D or check the web for timeslips. This is turning into a "which is better" argument, which it's not about.
this is a funny comparison, the MKIV 4th gen supras, stickshift will eat any mr2 turbo, i dont care if its jdm or not, but if your talking about quarter mile only, its not too far, i think a jdm mr2 actually will win in just a quarter mile, but anything over 100mph supra owns. Stock supra weighs in at 3600lbs curb weight, and it has 320hp and 315lbs of torque stock, if you compare that to our cars 200hp and 200 lbs of torque and we weigh in at 3000 lbs, then its a big difference, but if you compare it to the jdm mr2 245hp, then its close. But overall the supra tt stick shift rocks, but try modding a supra and a mr2, for 1200 bucks a supra gets easy 420whp, for 1200 bucks a mr2 gets around 220whp if your lucky. Nice comparison though, even though both these cars in are different classes. Toyotas rock!

oh and also, a 4th gen supra tt stickshift, with slicks will eat any stock mr2 with slicks, i just wanted to add that, because the only weakness the supras have in the quarter is wheelspin, so slap on some slicks and look at your 12 second timeslip stock.

sure dude. if u say so. Mr2's weigh in at 2700lbs. i don't know where u got the 3000lbs. at. also, supra mkiv weighs 3300lbs. maybe u weigh 300lbs and added that weight to the curb weight. jdm sw20 runs 13.7's, mkiv supra runs somewhere around there also...but most testing shows that it runs consistent low 14's. lastly, u don't need 450+ hp to make sw20 run 11's, but u need atleast 600hp to make supra run that quick. love toyotas.
