Does anyone here know if it's possible to get a RHD mr2 registered in California with a japanese VIN? Or does anyone know a place I can look to find out if it's possible to get it registered? Thanks for the help

I don't think the RHD will be an issue. I think the issue will be it passing smog since it most likely JDM.... that is unless you spent mucho $ to get it converted. Your car has to ''pass'' smog before it can be registered. My advice.... slip a smog guy a couple $100's. Other than that........ I don't think you can!

You can always upgrade your ignition, the bigger spark will burn more of that shit up and you'll get cleaner smog readings.

Not in Cali.... the car will pass the sniff test fine.... but it doesn't pass the visual test. $200 in the guys pocket is the only way to go.
