SERIOUS PROBLEM! Have no Clue whats wrong!

Ok heres the deal...I just bought a 3 inch down pipe and I go to install it and everything checks out o.k. I broke some studs but after some WD40 and a welder they were easily removed. Everything checks out fine, I wired up the new 4 wire Bosch O2 sensor and was ready to try it out....NOT! I go to start the car and on the ON Key position the car tries to start!! I didn't even push the clutch in! I dont get it...so we brought out the scanner and the wiring diagrams to see if one of the wires were crossed or if one of the wires grounded out...everything seemed o.k. as for connections, but we found one complication...If we disconnect the Cold start clip the car wont try to start in the ON position but will crank over when you try to start as normal...but it still doesnt start!!???!! Dont get it I rolled up to get an exhaust upgrade and end up leaving my car at the shop after fighting with it for 12 hours!

Anyway just out of curiosity, do ECU's go out at all? If so could the welding have done it (I have welded on the body and frame many of times though).

What about the cold start injector? Would I have seen any previous signs of shorage or malfunction??

Thanks Ray

found out what problem was today...somehow the new O2 sensor wasn't grounding it self good enough, in turn sent out resisting voltage throughout the ECU, resulting in all kinds of wiring problems. So I just tapped into it and made a steady ground Thanks
