Anybody have straight info on 3sgte and 5sfe specs? Looking for rod length, journal diameters, bore diameters and pin to piston top measurements. Playing with the numbers I'm looking to build a near square 5sgte. Also does anybody know how far you can bore a 98^ block without major temp problems?

Bore which block?
My 3sgte is bored .040 over. No problems whatsoever.

3sgte
Crankshaft Main Journal Diameter Service Spec..54.988-55.003mm 2.1653-2.1655in.

Camshaft Journal Diameter service Spec..26.959-26.975mm 1.0614-1.0620in

Bore Diameter.. 86mm 3.3858in

5sfe
Cam Journal Diameter service spec...same as 3sgte
Crankshaft Main Journal service spec..same as 3sgte

Bore Diameter...87mm 3.4252in

5sfe rod journals are larger than the 3sgte, but I don't know the diameters.
MR2 guys build strokers using the 5sfe block and crank, having to turn the crank rod journals to accept the 3sgte rods.
