it seems i've been lurking more than anything around here anymore. i guess my hiatus has been caused by a VERY poor economy, a bad deal gone worse with a fellow (now former) MR2 owner, and a rebirth of my love of the 2nd amendment. so, i finally got some time to get to my shop and actually work on my now VERY long term project.
i have made some major changes to my car and one of the things is that i will be using a 3SGT-E AFM to match the 440 injectors that i have installed. i've read how some have done this, but didn't really realize what had to be done to do this properly. so before i get any more long-winded, here are some pics:
here i have illustrated the adapter from the 4AGZ-E on the 3SGT-E AFM. i don't know how visible it is, but there is quite a bit of difference between the two

a closer look:

so i took an adapter from a 7MGT-E and had to make some mods

this pic illustrates a bit more of the difference between the two AFMs

and voila!
i've got a little bit of finish work to do to it, but that is mostly to do with having to fill weld the holes on the 7MGT-E adapter in order to re-drill to fit the 3SGT-E AFM bolt pattern.
more to come!
