Hello guys! My battery ran down and I didnt know the cause, turns out I didnt see my brake lights on. Now whenever the car has power the brakes lights are on. When its parked, when its off, when im driving, whether or not im on the pedal. I have the battery disconnected so as to not drain another battery.
The car operates normally, meaning I can drive and push the brakes and the system works perfectly, just the lights are always on. The fuses under the hood all look fine. What else would cause that? Is there any kind of switch or fuse elseware?

It your brake light switch. Very simple repair or if you're lucky you can lubricate yours, but it most likely just came loose. It's under the dash connected via a plunger and spring to the brake pedal. They go out. Not very often but they do. You'll most likely get lucky and find yours just came loose so the plunger is staying out. In that case you can simply push it toward the pedal, then re-tighten the nut. I'm not familiar with the MR2 specifically, but a brake light switch is a brake light switch. Some are connected differently, but they are all in the same location and do the same thing.
It's a very simple and inexpensive part to adjust, fix, or replace.

Since I don't use the "GameRoom", can you just send me a check?
Mine did the same thing last year Scott. I just went ahead and replaced the switch. They're cheap enough.Doesn't have to be OEM. O'Reilleys, AutoZone, PepBoys-all good enough.
Located at top of brake pedal under dash.
wow mine did this too when i had my fog lights hook up for the 1st time, after the owner b4 me had them, and my brake light and oil light stayed on.... hmmm wierd it was not on before i put the cables back, so i figure he did something wrong with the wiring that i cant figure out, i bought new harnesses at autozone rewire them and pow! all gone lol, but mine was very wierd
so turns out everything is still connected perfectly and operating as intended. its a damn piece of plastic that is on the brake pedal. When its in the rest position, it sticks out enough to push in the plunger. and when your on the brakes your pushing the pedal away so the lights come on. The plastic broke and came off so now in the rest position its not pushing in the plunger, so the lights stay on all the time.
Wonder if I can get just that little piece of plastic, or if I should just epoxy a nickel there. I dont want to buy a kit or something and pay 100$ at the dealership for less than a penny's worth of plastic lol.

You can tape a nickel to the lever on the pedal. That's what I did this summer when mine did it. Apparently, when it gets really hot, the plastic can weaken and either fall off or move enough to where it won't contact the switch.
