Faulty Knock Sensor

Have a problem its not serious but I would like to know what could be the problem... First off my car is running pretty good, well the fastest I had evr been was 110mph @13lbs of boost, and that was at the track. But the other day I felt froggy and walked down a VR-4 and when racing him I hit about 135mph and then the check engine light came on! Well the code was the knock sensor code (52). I replaced it (NEW) and then everything was back to good again. Well the same thing happened when I was testing out a new boost controller and was going about the same speed, (check engine light and knock sensor code). I was wondering what it could be? or does the factory MR2 ecu short out the knock sensor as a "Governer"?

what are your mods? most likely your engine is knocking, probably from lack of efficient fuel.
