Lightbulb radio install

i need help to install a rockford fosgate radio. i baught the wiring harness and it doesnt fit the stock radio harness.. someone told me today that the toyota wiring harness that you buy doesn't connect to the radio but connects to the amp and u have to run the wires through the car to the radio.. can some one please help b/c i am having trouble installing the radio... any pointer would help.

91 mr2 turbo- garrett T-04e 60trim, ko racing downpipe, ko racing exhuast on the way as well as exel radius rims wrapped in falken zeix 512 tires. tokico 5 way adjustables with tein springs.

I have so many problems w/ my rockford head in my supra. It plays mp3 cds fine.... but when you try to play a regular burned cd.... it is good for a while... and then when you shut the car off... it is all static. Make sure it works... cause they said that it was a defect on all of them.

Sounds like it's time to do some splicing. Check to make sure u have the right harness. I can't be any help with that because my stock wires were already cut when I got my car. I've installed countless car stereo's though. You could allways return the harness, do a search for the stereo wiring diagram and cut and splice. That is if you don't have some kind of warranty on ur car.
