MR2s been sitting, won't start

I have 3 MR2s, 89SC and 2 x 91 Turbos that sat for almost 2 years. I used to start them but neglected to lately...all 3 crank good, gas gauges worked but engines don't fire. Now the gas gauges don't work and I can't hear the fuel pumps run when jumping B+ to FP although I do draw a small arc on the Turbos. Haven't jumped the SC car yet. All cars have fresh fuel now.

Anyone see this before?

It's hard for me to imagine all 3 pumps could stick/fail

What's the fix?

if the cars sat for a long time without fresh fuel or being ran, condensation could have built up and caused water to build up in the tank. It is possible the fuel pumps are frozen from the cold.

Although having two cars do it is quite odd indeed tho. I wish i could offer more advice.

It's all three cars and Denver has a very dry climate, temps were in the 60's...a bit high for freezing.

I'm making up a fuel pressure gauge and double checking all fuses.

Went by the local Toy dealership and this one stumped their MR2 expert.

Once the 89SC (HKS car) and one of the 91 Turbo cars is running, I'm selling them in case someone is interested. Located in Denver, Colorado

Before you go through the work of installing a fuel pressure gauge I'd spray either ehter or get a bottle with a sprayer and spray gas in the throttle bady while someone cranks the car. If the cars start or "pop" when you do that it's a fuel issue, if not it's a spark/wiring issue

Hey I just bought a mkII today and have the same problem. My buddy told me it has been sittin out and I just replaced the battery. I tried that method above and it still wont turn over. I dont know if it's the cold weather that's causing it

"turning over is a term that can have a few meaning's. Turning over is when the motor is cranking but not firing; If the motor is not turning over that means it's not cranking at all.

When you turn the key does the motor crank?

If so does it "pop" like it wants to start but just wont?

If it cranks but doesn't pop and you've tried spraying gas/ether(starting fluid) into the throttle body and it doesn't pop it's probably an ignition issue. Pull a spark plug out and connect the wire to it and rest the threaded part of the plug on a good groung, then have someone crank the car and watch for a spark on the plug.

Try that and let me know the results, then we can go from there
