can a 5sfe with stock compression handle a turbo? i am currently rebuilding mine and im trying to decide how to build it. what is the stock compression?

It's all about tuning and keeping intake charge temps down.
Yes, the iron block can handle it, but I do recommend keeping the CR between 8:1 & 9:1.
The higher the compression ratio, the more chance of preignition(detonation)

For all the money and effort needed to make a reliable and worth-while 5SFE turbo. You are better of buying a 3SGTE instead. They come turbo, and can handle a fair amount of boost even at stock levels and will kick the pants off any 5SFE Turbo.

For some reason people find the option of putting a turbo on a 5SFE easier then just swapping a 3SGTE.... its actually the other way around, and Cheaper in the end.
