A/C Leak?

Posting this for my dad.
He has a 1993 MR2, non-turbo. Says the A/C doesn't blow cold air anymore. He had it fixed before and said the mechanic replaced an "O-ring"? After that it blew cold for about 2-3 months, but then he said it doesn't anymore.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Check refridgerant pressure. They also sell a freon that has a dye in it that glows under black light to find leaks.

Does he have to take it in to a shop to do this, or can he do this himself?

It requires an A/C manifold pressure gauge set.

Have him call the local dealership and see if there are any outstanding recalls on the car. There was one for the a/c expansion valve and they will still fix it. They will also refill it for free afterwards. Might be worth a shot.
