Pegasus projectors/mod-express HID install (with pics)

I don't know if anybody posted pics of this install but i'll post pics of my install. Please excuse the camera work, not my best but it'll do so here ya go:
Stock H4 headlight

Remove 2 phillip screws on both sides of the black panel

Here's the black panel bracket

Next remove the 4 screws from the silver bracket, you don't to remove all of them if you don't want to. You can just remove the top screws and the headlight should come out:

From there you can disconnect the headlight

Comparision of both stock and pegasus headlight

Install H7 hid bulb into pegasus housing

Now I had a spare H4 kit that came with a high-beam bulb but since the pegasus headlight didn't have a high beam just cut off those wires and splice them into the halo wires

This is the part where some members (including me) got confused. Once I hooked up the ballast and hooked up the headlight connector it wouldn't work So what I did was reverse the polarity of the wires and stuck the black wire through the top socket and reversed the polarity for both red wires until the hid/halo came on.

Next step was to mount the ballast, luckily I had some handy 3M adhesive lying around and used it, I also cleaned the mating surface for the ballast to make sure it stayed on good.

Ta-da ballast mounted!

After all that jazz I connected the hid connectors and installed the pegasus headlight with the silver bracket back on and back bezel panel then voila!

Install is the same for passenger side as well, here's a cutoff pic

I couldn't do a good cut-off test because the car is on jack stands (replacing clutch line)

Well that was my write-up of how to install pegasus projectors, hope it helps other mr2 owners as well

Been planning on these for my AW11s for some time now but still haven't done it!

How's the quality of the housing feel? Cheap plastic like the ebay ones? Glass?

I'm not familar on how the ebay projectors feel but to me, they feel pretty sturdy. The light output from these are really good, norcalmr2 is awesome.

I literally just installed my pegasus from norcal yesterday. I'm going to wire the halo to come on ith the parking lights, so I haven't hooked them up yet. Love the output though (55w 8000k bulbs) and Tommy is awesome to deal with. Ordered on a sunday and got them thursday afternoon. Rediculously well packaged, too. The feel of the housing isn't super sturdy like oem, but not cheap feeling either.
