speedo dont work any ideas

after giving my car a good go the speedo doesnt work any more any ideas?

Broken speedo cable would be my guess if you have a 91/92.

I agree, I have a 91 and mine is out too. The speedo and the odo. It's actually three parts, a small cable on the dash side, an adapter in between the two cables, and a long cable to the back. It could be any one or all of those. If i remember correctly, the smaller cbabe is about 50, the adapter is about 100, and the longe rone is a bout 150. I think they are a little less actually, I got the prices from the dealer to ballpark it, so you can probably get them cheaper.

also, if you have the non turbo, in 5th, 1500rpm is 25,mph and every 500rpm either way is 10mph, every 250rpm is 5mph, etc...
