2 issues help please

Hey i have a question. I just got my car back after a year and something not driving it, i got a new rebuilt egine car drives great and everything but having 2 issues hopefully i could get some feed back about them.

1. I have a a lil more than a minor leak coming from my breather thats on the valve cover gasket, instead of having the hose that runs from the breather to the throtle body i have a small air filter connected to the breather and another filter connected to the hose of the t.b. Anyways my point being is it suppose to leak if not how i fix it.

2. my oil light keeps turnin on an off can it be tht the oil pressure switch its malfunctioning?

Are you talking about the hose from the PCV to the throttlebody? Or the tube that runs fron the valve cover (not valve cover gasket) to the intake?

Check the wire connection at the sending unit. Sounds like it's either loose or shorted.

Did you buy a rebuilt engine or have it rebuilt?
Was it built by a reputable shop?

If it was a crappy rebuild job done by a crappy shop it could cause both issues!

And as for the oil light, do you have the 3S?

If so the USDM 3SGTE motors also have an oil level sensor in the oil pan(because us stupid americans don't know how to check our oil) the oil level light is orange or yellow(I can't remember which) and the oil pressure light is red. If it's the oil level light you might want to check that you have enough oil, if you do and it is still coming on just unplug it from the sensor, it's the one on the oil pan.

Give us a little more info and we can better assist you!

its a 91 mr2 5sfe engine stock non turbo. i bought the engine last year like october november its rebuilt with 30k to 50k miles ithink it came from japan n they rebuilt at the shop i bought it at

its from the breather thats on the valve cover thats connects to the kntake next to the throttle body. so basically i have a lil small filter on the breather and another filter on the hose. should i disconnect the filters and reconnect the hose back to the breather

and the light its red turns on n off while its on neutral and it feels like the car is going toturn ff.. but when im driving it feels ok and the light dosent turn on.

Sorry for the delay, I just moved and have been super busy with work; and now I have an offer for a new job...

But if you haven't figured out your idle issue it sounds like your Idle Air Control motor is bad, you can try removing and cleaning it, or just replace it.
