T-tops or Moonroof?

I'm looking around for MR2 and most seem to have the T-tops, though I'm not completely sold on them.

I like the looks of the t-tops when they are off, but I don't know how much I'd be driving around with them off. I don't like the idea of taking them on and off everywhere I stop, plus really don't like the idea of people being able to get into my car when they are off and it's parked somewhere.

Also, I think the t-tops when on, don't look as good as the solid color of the non-ttops cars.

But since I've never actually owned a car with t-tops, I thought I'd get some opinons.

I'm in sunny Arizona, so weather isn't so much a factor - actually, it's probably too hot much of the year for keeping the tops down.

Any thoughts? Advantages? Disadvantages?

Advantage:
Just like a convertible

Disadvantage:
Possible leak
Pain in the butt (Putting them on and off)
Less stiffness in body (very minimal) compared to hard-top

i can't think of any advantages, aside from the convenience issue. however, i enjoy my t-tops even though i don't take them out all THAT often ...

i say t tops, if you are afraid it will look bad with them up try to get a black car... then it looks fine. i think you living in az is more of a reason to go for them, unless you get one with really good a/c...

That's exactly what I was thinking. If I do end up with a T-tops car, then for sure it will have to be black because the t-tops hurt the looks of the car - the symettry is broken up - but with black, you can't tell.

The only problem is that black cars are boiling hot out here. It's already in the 100's and it's only going to get hotter for the next 3 months, then stay around 100 for a few months after that.

So if I get t-tops and the car gets painted black, then it will be garaged during the day and driven only at night.

Oh, and another thing I'm not crazy about is the noise when the tops are down (or in a convertable). I prefer hearing my stereo with zero outside road noise. That doesn't bug anyone?

The thing is .... it isn't a must to have them off. So if you wanna listen to the radio... leave em on.
