i was wondering if anyone thinks these should fit or not, im not sure what the offset is but if anyone who is running wide wheels and/or tires, what backspacing, offset, widthe and tire widdthe they are, just need something to base off of ok thanks
what offset are the rims??..if its around +40...u should be okay.....i'm running 16 x7 fronts with 205/45/16 and 16 x 8 with 245/45/16 rears.....my rear rubs under hard bumps...i should have went with a 40 series tire instead.....i'm on H&R springs and Trust Adj. shocks.......
btw..aren't conquest rims a split five spoke rims??.....they will make ur car look so outdated with that style of rim.....

theyr'e a five spoke design with a grey center piece in the middle of each spoke but im going to sand blast them and polish the whole wheel i think that the rears are close to 40 offset and the fronts i have spacers for them, thanks for the info, i'm eager to try these wheels but i have to wait for tires, what tires do you use MRQ?
arcas, what year is your friends StarQuest? mines is the 87 model with the gold paint, it is TSi

what do u mean by backspacing.....i'm not even sure what offset the rims are..i got them with the car....but they are perfectly flush with fenders.....i'll have to check behind the rims to see it theres a number posted there next time car is at the shop n is up in the air.....

thats ok no rush i dont yet have tires... still sorting them out
MRQ, backspacing is from the back of the rim, to the back of the lug area, where the wheel actuall touches the brake rotor/hub? thats about the best way i can explain it, havent ever actually thought of it but thats what it is, is there any difference in speedometer readings or any more of a tendency to bog at launch, do you have to launch higher (more than likely that is a stupid question)?

if u go with a 17" or 18" rim....it will slightly throw off ur speedo reading......bogging during ur launch isn't determined by ur rims...more so ur tires because they can't get traction.....
Yeah, they are 5X114.3, duh, but he can't remember the offset off the top of his head. I can't wait till he gets his beast running, the turbo looks so nice and shiney. Haha, and we finished hooking up all the braided Earl's lines for his Oil Pressure gauge, and return line, what a pain! But it worked out perfect!
id like to get mine running too, i know it would be pretty badass, it needs a complete rebuild and new turbo, im thinking about trading it for a celica GTS that runs, it a 4th generation with a 3SGE in it, i dont know yet
