1989 MR2 Intake Valve Assy

I own a 1989 MR2 w/o supercharge and I'm being told by the dealer that I need to replace my "Intake Air Control Valve Assembly" Part#17300-16011.

I've called to some big parts sellers, and can't find this part anywhere. Most still have it on their website although I've been told it is no longer in production.

Does anyone have an idea where I would be able to purchase this part new or used in good shape. I am located in Ontario Canada and can pay for the shipping if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

Ron

Just checked partsvoice.com and p# is not available at any Toyota or Lexus dealeship.

Also checked Toyota Dealer Daily and P# is not available at any North American Toyota or Lexus PDC.

Sorry Ron,

That's a link to used throttle bodies that should come with your valve.

OP,

I checked out toyotapartszone.com and toyotapartshub.com and it seems as though the Intake Air Control Valve Assembly is not available. It could be possible that it's been long out of production and consequently would be hard to find. Maybe these sites could provide you with an estimate of when they could obtain said part? Or have you tried frequenting local junkyards?

I wonder if you can find a universal large diameter vacuum valve that could fit? I wonder if the huge catalog books at stores such as NAPA auto parts would have something like that...

Good luck man
Mike
