Meet in K.C. Missouri this weekend.

Just in case there are folks on here that live in the midwest and aren't on mr2oc, there is a fairly good sized meet going on this saturday (6/18). We're expecting about 15-20 MR2s.

Here's a quick rundown of the schedule/location if anyone is interested. PM me if you plan on coming, so I can let Bill know.

Summer is right around the corner, so let’s have a get together, share our winter upgrade stories, eat some BBQ, go on a cruise, see some cool cars, and hopefully have some nice weather.

Tentative schedule/format will be as follows:
Saturday, June 18th
10:30AM – Meet and Greet
11:30AM – Lunch/Grilling and Show & Shine (Prizes?)
1:30PM – Hwy5/Lake Cruise/Photo Ops
~4:30PM – KCI Car cruise
~7:00PM – Dinner at one of KC’s finest BBQ’s (TBD)

Meet and Greet
• Location of Meet and Greet/BBQ/Show and Shine will be at the Seven Bridges Clubhouse:
- 17800 NW Seven Bridges Rd Platte City, MO 64079
- Here's a Google maps satellite view of the clubhouse in question
• Chance to introduce yourself, and meet your fellow MR2 owners…
• Bring your lawn/folding chairs….

Lunch/Grilling and Show & Shine
• I have one of the pavilions reserved pool side. We’ll be allowed to set up starting at 11:00AM.
• I will bring/provide the grill/charcoal/table
• I will front the cost for food and drinks…
- Keeping it simple…Hamburgers/hot dogs/chips/soda’s
• Would like to be able to hand out prizes for the following categories:
- Highest mileage MR2
- Lowest mileage MR2
- Farthest Traveled
- Crowd Favorite
• Need a hand from someone who can get a hookup/sponsor from either Toyota/Autozone/NAPA/ETC… so that we could provide prizes (these can be simple…don’t need a new Prius or anything like that…key chains, hats, wheel cleaner, Stickers, things like that….)

HWY-5/Lake Cruise/Photo Ops
• We will take the traditional Wyandote County Lake and then on to the Hwy 5 Cruise.

• Several spots along this cruise were we can stop and take pic’s just like old times…

KCI Car Cruise
• This is an FREE annual event put on by KCI Airport.
• Hundreds of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, rat rods, exotics and imports will be on hand in a casual, un-judged atmosphere.
• Hopefully we can park all the MR2’s in one row and show them off!

• In the almost 1 year now that I’ve been living here, there is certainly no shortage of awesome BBQ places to eat at. I have no personal preference on where we go…we can discuss here in this thread, or the day of.
