Where to Start??

I have a 2005 MR2 and want to tweak it
i have a couple of grand and want to kick it up a notch.
just started with new rims and tires and an AEM cold air intake.
where is the next best bang for the buck or what should i upgrade as i need to replace things like;
intake, exhaust, brakes, coil overs, bracing, etc and of course
turbo// more money
what about an engine swap with or without a turbo and how much will that cost when said and done 4 - 5K?
I am not a well versed tuner but love to read modified and other mags to see what is possible but no MR2s in the last year or so to see whats been done???

The exhaust on the Spyder flows very well, so a header wouldn't do much.
Most guys go turbo, but if you're not wanting to go that route, Cams,adjustable cam gears( to degree them) fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and larger injectors would be my choice.
Check out MonkeyWrenchRacing, they have alot of aftermarket stuff for the 1zz and 2zz.
The 2zz is a prime candidate for a swap in the Spyder.

this now leads to a second question.
where do i go to get this done . i live just outside of philly and want to go obviously to a reputable place... how do i find one and do i order the stuff and bring it to them do they do it all again i am just a new bee...

I would order the stuff online to save money and then have it installed . Sorry, don't know anywhere in your area to recommend.
You can try and PM this guy, JekylandHyde. He used to race 2nd gen MR2's and lives in your area. He doesn't frequent this forum anymore since he stopped racing to persue other avenues, but he's always willing to help.
He might could recommend someone in your area.
