ballast...isn't that only a term that sailors use??.....lol....

turbos should weigh in at a few hundred lbs heavier...but the added power should make up for the difference...i've never driven an NA so i don't really know how differently the two cars compare.....

Ballast can be used in lots of ways although it is strictly defined as a term for ships; weight to keep them stabilized.

The turbo MR2s are a good 150-275 lbs heavier than the NAs.
I have no idea why.

Mine doesn't feel any heavier. Maybe cause it was swapped. Is it body or engine that adds the weight?

i'm sure the turbo/manifold and exhaust might be behind the add weight somehow....

There is something heavy on the car, not just the engine ...

Bryan "NoShoes" Moore has a 3sgte swapped into an NA and I know his car is light even with the turbo engine in there.
